Live Transcribe & Sound Notifications is an Android app that enhances accessibility for individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing. By utilizing your Android phone or tablet, this app makes everyday conversations and surrounding sounds more accessible. Unlike traditional advertising, the focus here is placed on the functionality and features of the app.

To access Live Transcribe & Sound Notifications on most devices, follow these steps:

1. Open your device's Settings app.
2. Tap Accessibility, then select the app you want to use: Live Transcribe or Sound Notifications.
3. Initiate Live Transcribe or Sound Notifications using the Accessibility button, gesture, or quick setting. Detailed instructions can be found here.

Sound Notifications:

• Receive notifications for potential risky situations and personal situations based on sounds in your home, such as smoke alarms, sirens, and baby sounds.
• Customize notifications to be alerted when your appliances emit specific sounds.
• Get notifications with a flashing light or vibrations on your mobile device or wearable.
• Use the timeline view to review events within the past 12 hours.

Real-time transcription:

• Transcribes spoken words in real-time, displaying them on your device.
• Supports over 80 languages and dialects, with the ability to easily switch between two languages.
• Create a list of custom words you frequently use, including names and household items.
• Receive vibrations on your device when your name is spoken.
• Type responses in your conversation using your device's keyboard while the transcriptions continue to appear.
• View a speaker's volume compared to the ambient loudness, enabling you to adjust your volume accordingly.
• Use external microphones like wired headsets, Bluetooth headsets, or USB mics for improved audio reception.

Referencing transcriptions:

• Choose to save transcriptions for 3 days, allowing you to copy and paste them elsewhere. (By default, transcriptions are not saved.)
• Search within saved transcriptions for easy access to specific information.
• Copy and paste text directly from the transcription by touching and holding.

Requirements:

• Compatible with Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and later versions.
